Owing to the huge sell-out success of Jack Up The 80s vol5, we have decided to throw another family friendly festival for a sixth year. The purpose of Jack Up The 80s remains the same, we aim to raise valuable funds and awareness for local Island charities and good causes. With your help we managed to raise over £20,000 for Island charities in the past 2 years! Attendees to the festival continue to embrace the 80s theme and as the past five years have shown, there is a real passion for reliving the good times of Frankie Says and Choose Life t-shirts, florescent headbands, leg warmers, legendary blockbuster movies and of course great music and acts like Leo Sayer and T’Pau.
Jack Up The 80s moved in 2017 to a more fit for purpose site better suited to a live music event, with improved infrastructure, hard standing and flood lighting. Situated on the outskirts of Ryde the new venue ensures easier access for the majority of Islanders as well as visitors from the mainland, all weather facilities and a more enclosed space ensuring a safer environment for families. The site at Smallbrook Stadium is closer to the Island’s main transport links and shuttle buses will be provided to transport foot passengers from Ryde bus station directly to the venue.
